“Wow this is so cool!” That’s the first thought I remember when I fell in love with photography. I started taking my camera with me on my daily walks around my neighborhood and found that I loved to take photos of flowers. My first and lasting joy is capturing the energy and personality that exists in each flower I see.

My photography has opened up my creativity in surprising ways. I now look for the energy and personality in everyday things, such as boat reflections on Lake Union, light bouncing off buildings, and neighborhood pets or the local classic Studebaker. Everything has the possibility of becoming art.
